Nichol Dinan worked in portraiture before attending university and developing a more illustrative approach. Her work has been shown at several shows around Southampton and at the Mall Galleries in London.

European folklore tales and imagery have always been a significant influence throughout her life and have helped to shape her current style. Through her work she aims to create the type of emotive imagery that would enchant others in the same way; evoking a sense of magic with a touch of melancholy.

Coloured pencil is primarily used to create a mix of muted natural tones, whilst acrylic paint adds bolder texture to the work. More recently, the use of metallic pigments has been introduced to enhance and add depth to each piece.

Nichol is currently based near the Ashdown Forest in South East England.
